Description:

The Green Hornet is a no expense spared 2005 SR400 café racer that Ross Racing has built to sell. It’s the first of ten bikes that Stew plans to make, and there will never be another one made like it by him.

The bike will come with three months rego in the ACT, as well as a current Roadworthy Certificate, if required. The Green Hornet also has an individual brass-numbered Ross Racing identification plate.

The Green Hornet is a collection of many of the things that Stew would like to have on his own SR café racer, and it’s made up of only the best quality Japanese after-market components. Stew deliberately made the bike that way so that in the event of the bike being damaged (which of course we hope would never occur!), the new owner could simply go to somewhere like Vanem or Deus and buy the replacement part, just as if it was a production bike.

Some of the things that the Green Hornet has are lightweight alloy-body Ikon shocks, Peyton Place exhaust system (which sounds great, but not too loud), WM alloy tank with a Monza cap retro-fitted by the famed Bernie Willett, alloy WM rear-sets, Ducati SS-style side covers, and Daytona headlight with integral Velona speedo and stainless steel support brackets. There’s also a genuine Nitro Heads seat, stainless steel guards, front and back, and quality alloy adjustable-angle clip-ons.

The electronic Velona speedo is driven by an electronic signal from a generator located on the front speedo cable drive outlet, meaning it has no speedo cable. The speedo display has a handlebar-mounted push-button control that switches between total mileage, trip distances, electric system voltage display, and it even has a clock! On an SR!

It comes with a set of bolt-on pillion pegs, a genuine SR400 tool kit, and its own bike cover. There is an electronic immobiliser as standard, and even hazard lights.

This bike was one of the original Deus-imported SR400s. It comes with all paperwork required for registration, plus some extra data so you know how the various items on it work.

Bikes like this aren’t cheap to make, so the sale price somewhat reflects that quality. If you’re interested in the Green Hornet, please feel free to call Stew.
